Review Party Recommends: Review That Review

In the grand wasteland that is the internet, you either live forever or fade into anonymity, your image locked in dark amber while your spirit flies far away from your keyboard.

We see this in reviews - Amazon has been around since the mid-90s, and you can find dusty old reviews pretty easily, back at a time where every username was johnnythebeef@aim.com. If a review is legitimate, there’s a good chance it will stay online as long as the product or site associated with it sticks around. Those words are forever.

Podcasts are kind of the same way.

But here’s a key difference: when a random user on Amazon stops leaving reviews, no one is missing out. When a podcaster stops podcasting, there’s a sense of sadness, or mystery, or confusion. Why did they stop, when did they stop, and why did they just leave everything here?

It happens with a lot of podcasts, and maybe it’s for the best; it’s easy to put something (bad) out there, but making it good and staying consistent? That takes work.

The Review Queens at Review That Review have DONE WORK!

Who That? REVIEW That (Review)

Excuse, like- do you even read this blog? Do you even listen to our show? We have talked about Review That Review before! We’ve admitted that Review Party Dot Com is NOT the only review podcast on the internet that is funny. We have compared their show to a NYC sightseeing bus, full of production quality, pizazz, and polish, contrasting it with our little golf cart ride through our Midwestern hometowns.

So yeah, get on board! Get on their bus!

Review That Review just dropped EPISODE 100, and that is no small feat for any podcast, let alone one about reviews. You have no idea what they’ve been through, but if you WANT to know what they’ve been through, well good news, you can go listen to their show from episode one. NOW. HERE.

But okay, that heading says WHO that, so let’s introduce your hosts.

Did I mention they have polish? Like- !! I snatched this from their press kit! (thx guyss)

Chelsey Donn and Trey Gerrald, everyone! The Review QUEENS, in the flesh. Pixel. Whatever.

If you’re scratching your chinny-chin, thinking “hey, they look familiar,” well just mayBE. They’re New Yorkers, they’ve done things with their lives, they have multiple credits on IMDb, my friends. And they united to make a silly show, just for you.

Like 80% of all podcasters, Chelsey and Trey are actor.writer.comedians. Except, again, they have actually DONE STUFF. I won’t list it all here. Give their website the traffic, fam.

But I will tell you how they explain their show:

Hosts Chelsey Donn & Trey Gerrald rate & review some of the wildest reviews to hit the internet from Yelp, Amazon, TripAdvisor, TheKnot, and more!
What 'Siskel & Ebert' did for cinematic masterpieces, Chelsey & Trey do for random online reviews!

They started this podcast because they were sick of bullsh!t reviewers dragging down the ratings of possibly guiltless (the verdict is still out) businesses. Together they'll review that review and deliver the TRUTH. Let's sniff out the attention seekers and trolls and bring some integrity back to online reviews. It's time for the hardworking respectable reviewers out there to get their chance to shine!

You just KNOW I get excited when I see someone else walking around the potential madhouse that is TheKnot’s review section.

So. IF, by extreme chance, you are a listener of Review Party Dot Com, then you know it’s all about reviews. Brent and Matt trade off reading reviews for about an hour, there’s a segment in there. It’s a thing. We go off into lala land and dance around for a while.

Chelsey and Trey are a bit more restrained in their approach, bringing you far fewer reviews per episode, but that means they focus on those reviews with white-flame intensity. And they play games, and they have songs, and they have fun.

So do we, but y’know, maybe our fun isn’t your fun. Maybe you love reviews and podcasts, but RPDC just don’t do it for you. We can help. Listen to Review That Review. Let your woes be healed.
