For the Chicago Faithful: Third Coast Review
Make no mistake- we here at Review Party Dot Com are Midwesterners, through and through. It’s why we’re so charming, and funny, and down-to-Earth. It’s also why we entertain ourselves with internet reviews.
But those of us fortunate enough to live in the hallowed Chicagoland have other options for entertainment, beyond the mean screens of our persona devices. There is art and theatre, film and food, culture and class enough to fill up your glass. And if you want those street-level, word-of-mouth quality recommendations, then look no further than Third Coast Review.
Who are they? What do they do?
I always find it’s easier to just let them tell their story (they’re the pros, after all). Third Coast Review is…
a curated, online magazine specializing in Chicago-area arts and culture coverage. We’ve been bringing you previews, reviews, features, interviews and more about theater, movies, music, museums, visual arts, video games, books and food since January 2016.
So like, what, reallY?
Well, they’re covering mainstream entertainment, with reviews of Succession and Fast 10 splashed across their pages. But also indie film, musical performances, and so much theatre. New Yorkers may have Did They Like It? to give an assist on big Broadway shows, but for the multitudes of theatres in Chicago, let TCR tell you what’s what.
If you’re not the type to appreciate Chicago’s theatre, arts, and museum scene (who hurt you?), then you no doubt are a fan of the food scene, no? Because TCR can tell you where to go.
You’re saying you don’t eat? You don’t go outside? You LIKE getting your entertainment from a screen that you own? Then head to the Games and Tech section, dude! They’ve got you covered. It’s just part of that Midwestern charm, no one is getting ignored at this party.
So if you find yourself in the old Windy City, hop on TCR to help decide what to put on your list.
