Me, You, and Meme Reviews REVISITED: The Three Wolf Moon Shirt (p. 1)
The Three Wolf Moon Shirt. The prodigal son of internet reviews, and the very first Me, You, and Meme Review featured on Review Party Dot Com.
I know, you have questions. What’s the deal with this shirt? What’s Me, You, and Meme Reviews?
Well stick with me here. Me, You, and Meme Reviews is a segment here on this blog AND on the podcast Review Party Dot Com; in this segment we find those products whose reviews gained cult-like followings, like the Bic for Her Pens, the Hutzler 571 Banana Slicer, and yes, those Sugar Free Gummy Bears. (for quick links to ALL OF THOSE, just hit up the MYMR hub HERE).
Once we identify a product, we unpack why it got so popular. Or at least why its reviews did. Then we look at the cultural impact, read some of the funny reviews, and finally! We get the darn thing and give it a review based in reality, because real reviews are useful too! Oh, and we write a funny one, because we can’t not.
If you want to read the original entries on the Three Wolf Moon shirt, they can be found here: part one, part two.
But without further ado, let’s cover some new things we’ve learned about this old shirt.
First off, after spending roughly 200 days on Amazon’s Top 100 products list (way back in 2009, when Amazon may not have been pushing as much of their own stuff), the New Hampshire Division of Economic Development named it “official T-shirt of New Hampshire economic development.” Just because the company that sells the shirt is based in New Hampshire.
The artist of the design, Antonia Neshev continues to work as a freelance wildlife artist, and has many other wolf-based shirts available on The Mountain. But better than those are the images you can get see on her website:
Stunning, no?
Now I know, you want to see some funny TWM reviews!!
Say no more, here are a few.
Happy, Slappy? I mean, I know I am. Some of those are pretty dang good. AND THERE ARE THOUSANDS MORE!
And you know what? We’re gonna do our thing again and re-review the Three Wolf Moon Shirt, right here, right (next week)!
If you wanna hear this jazz, listen to RPDC 180 and 181 next week. Until then, howl!
