Plex Flexes User Reviews

If you’re like me, you know what Plex is. Vaguely. You’ve heard of it, you’ve looked at the website. Maybe you got an account and that was the end of it.

Well if you need a clue-in, Plex is a service where you can house content you own. A library of movies and TV shows that are yours, but online instead of on the shelf or on a hard drive. But they also host live TV and shows found on Hulu and Apple TV. You support the services by watching ads, just like many of the other services you probably pay for.

And the reason I’m talking about Plex? It’s in the title up above, they’re adding user reviews to the service.

Naturally you’ll need an account/verified email to leave a review, and as is the case elsewhere, you’ll need to operate within community guidelines when posting. And similar to Letterboxd, you’ll be able to flag your own review with a spoiler warning.

One key difference is that each user will be able to filter what reviews they see: all, Plex Users, and Critic reviews.

For more information you should really just read Plex’s review page.
